TECHNOLOGY OF GAS-DYNAMIC SPRAYING
Description: The technology of gas-dynamic spraying of coatings is based on the effect of fixing of solid particles moving with supersonic speed on the surface at their collision with it. It allows a whole range of tasks to be solved which can’t be done by other methods. It should be noted that localized impact on the processed part at minimal heating is ensured at spraying coatings.
Advantages: At spraying of coatings coated parts are subjected to insignificant thermal action; It is not necessary to heat a coated part; If there is no thick layer of rust or scum on the substrate, thorough preparation of the surface is not necessary (when a jet of particles impacts the surface it is cleaned from such impurities as oils, paints and the crystal lattice of the part’s material is activated); The stream of sprayed particles is narrow-beam and has small cross-section. It allows, in contrast to traditional gas-thermal methods of spraying, localized (with distinguished boundaries) zones of part’s surface to be coated; The equipment can be used in field conditions.
Application field: Restoration of lost volume of metal: elimination of defects (cracks, cavities, holes) of silumin, iron and steel casting in production; elimination of parts and assembly units damage in machines and mechanisms (restoration of mechanical damage of parts, bearing interfaces, pump casings, etc.); elimination of mould defects. Sealing of gas and liquid leaks in systems working under pressure at low and high temperatures: reservoirs, pipelines, heat-transfer devices, etc. Spraying of electrically conductive coatings. Anticorrosive cover. Aircraft repair: elimination of corrosive damage of units; sealing of gas and liquid leaks; restoration of part’s geometry; restoration of commutators of electric machines armatures. Vehicle repair: restoration of corrosive damage, cavities and blowholes of a cylinder head; restoration of cracks in cylinder heads, cylinder blocks and units; elimination of Freon leaks in conditioners; elimination of cooler leakage; corrosion prevention treatment of local zones; restoration of bearing beds.
